     I started building lures strictly out of the love of fishing, and as my lures began catching fish, for friends and family. The demand kept steady and my skill began to grow. My backgroung in custom air brush work helped greatly, and rusty salt named Skippy and I became friends. I learned so much from him I dont think I can ever repay him, from techniques to hydrodynamics, and by continuing to fish all the while, my learning curve became a straight line, I got to see what worked and what didn't, I learned how to tempt a striper to hit, but also the design necessary to hook and hold him. Tumbling, tail hook fouls, belly to leader fouls, hook to hook fouls, I have been through it all!! Lets just say I made a lot of fire wood over the years until I came to these designs. My success with these swimmers doesnt't mean that it ends here, I will continue to test, evaluate, and fish my plugs, and work on new ones too!
     Big Rock Lures are made to remain usable through many fishing conditions, from a glass flat back bay to a rolling 6' ocean front, and have so far accounted for many striped bass, bluefish, and weakfish, as well as some exotic species on the Florida coast including snook and grouper. Many hours on the water, of my time and from others, have helped me to refine these lures into exactly what I wanted. I am working on a few other lures now but you wont be seeing them until next year, they still need to be proven.
